A Name with Heart, A Brand with Soul

Why Ladie Kakes? It’s a nod to my childhood, where ‘Lady Ashley’ was a term of endearment from my mom and uncle, celebrating my dainty and ladylike essence. As I ventured into baking, the name Ladie Kakes emerged, blending my cherished nickname with a twist that reflected my unique approach to baking. Swapping ‘y’ for ‘ie’ and ‘C’ for ‘K’, I crafted a brand that stands out, just like my baked goods.

From Kitchen Experiments to Farmer’s Market Favorites

Baking began as a hobby, a simple joy found in the warmth of my mother’s kitchen. What started with family and friends quickly grew into requests from beyond my immediate circle. Despite a successful career in the Lingerie Industry and later the private sector, but God had other plans for me. A layoff turned my side hobby into a full-time pursuit of happiness.

In April 2016, with all necessary permits in hand and a heart full of hope, I set up my first stall at a Farmer’s Market near my childhood home. Since then, Ladie Kakes has graced numerous Farmer’s Markets, festivals, and special events, even earning accolades from my beloved Long Beach community.
